Thursday we'll
be at Crestview from 5:45 to 7:45.
Saturday morning from 9
to 10 AM is the first session of the SPENSA (SPEcial
Needs Soccer Association) at the Soccer Park on
field #2. This is not a required team event, but if
your daughter can make it, they will definetely get
something out of the experience. We've helped
SPENSA a few times last year with volunteers and
they always need volunteers. The women from the SLU,
Army, Missouri State, and SEMO soccer teams will be
on hand to help volunteer as well.
We play Sunday at
Mehlville High School at 3:00 PM. We are
green/green/yellow for the game. Please arrive at
least 30 minutes early. This field is a fieldturf
field so it will only cancel due to
lightning/thunder, not rain.
As of now, I have
everyone's cell phone numbers in the teamcaller
system. If there is another number that you would
rather I use for notification calls please let me
know.
Thanks,
Graham

Everyone,
Our team had a
very good performance in the NORCO tournament this
weekend. We finished 2nd out of 10 teams, losing
the championship game 1 - 0 to the Lou Fusz Strikers
- Atletico team. It was a good weekend of soccer,
overall, for our girls. It was a great way to start
our year, but we did find some areas that we need to
work on in training. However, we did go 3 - 1 for
the weekend with 9 goals for and 2 goals against.
Our 1st game was a
win against Lou Fusz Strikers - Barcelona 4 - 0.
Torie, Madeline, Mykayla, and Taylor all scored
goals in this game and Megan recorded a shutout.
The 2nd game was a win against the Vardar - Black
team 2 - 1. Although we were down 1 - 0 after the
1st half, we came back to get goals from Courtney
and Torie in the first several minutes of the 2nd
half and then held against a strong Vardar team to
get the win with Brighton in goal. The third game
was a 3 - 0 win against Lou Fusz Strikers - Santos
with goals coming from Torie, Mykayla, and Lindsey.
Megan recorded her 2nd shutout. Our final game was
a tough, physical game against the Lou Fusz Strikers
- Atletico team that ended in a 1 - 0 loss.
The girls played
very well this weekend and we are looking forward to
a successful season.
